Stateline Hawks Girls Ice Hockey. Providing girls with ice hockey experience at the competitive Tier 2 level.

Stateline Hawks Girls Hockey

Stateline Hawks is a non-profit girls hockey program dedicated to providing an exceptional athletic and educational experience for our players to improve their hockey skills, expand their knowledge of the game, and pursue a future in the sport if desired. Our goal is to promote team play, a competitive spirit, and good sportsmanship in all facets of the game, starting with our learn to play and culminating with our 19U teams. We believe that our players thrive under strong mentorship and coaching, and that is why we are dedicated to hiring exceptional professional coaches to lead our teams.

STATELINE 2024-2025 SEASON UPDATE

The Stateline Hawks 10U-19U program will feature multiple, full-time travel teams, competing with the top all-girls programs and co-ed teams in the region. The top Stateline teams will participate in the Atlantic Girls Hockey League with showcase opportunities in the tri-state area, while second teams will participate in the Connecticut Girls Hockey League.

The 10U full-time team will have limited spots for players double rostering on another full-time team. At 12U there will be one supplementary team for girls who play full-time on another team, competing in a tournament and in 8-10 home and similar away games against regional all-girls programs.

Program Overview

TEAMS

Stateline has multiple travel teams at each age group. Age groups include 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U. The top teams at 14U, 16U and 19U are national tournament bound with a goal of competing at New York States and the USA Hockey National Tournament.

SEASON

Team seasons typically begin late August or early September and end in late February or early March. Our 16U and 19U are "split season" beginning in late August and ending late November. They then pick up again in late February to get ready for the NY State tournament.

HOME ICE

Stateline teams have home ice for games/practices split between Hommocks Rink in Larchmont and Greenwich Skating Club, along with a few other local rinks on occasion. Away games are played primarily in NY, CT and NJ but teams often travel throughout the Northeast and MidAtlantic for tournaments.

PRACTICES / SKILLS / GAMES

Teams practice 2-3 times per week. One practice per week is devoted to skills and is run by Erik Nates. Goalie-specific training is also run during skills sessions, and additional goalie clinics are also offered. Teams will play 30-40 games throughout the season and usually fall on the weekends.
